Increase your Viabration with the “Emotional Guidance Scale”

Progress over perfection. This is the premise of this post.

To accomplish big things you must take small steps.

On an emotional level, I believe the Abraham Hick’s Emotional Guidance Scale really exemplifies this concept. This scale is a list of feelings and emotions, from our highest vibration feelings to our lowest vibrations. In short, the higher up the scale, the better you feel, and the lower down the scale, the worse you feel.

  1. Joy/Appreciation/Empowered/Freedom/Love

  2. Passion

  3. Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness

  4. Positive Expectation/Belief

  5. Optimism

  6. Hopefulness

  7. Contentment

  8. Boredom

  9. Pessimism

  10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience

  11. Overwhelment

  12. Disappointment

  13. Doubt

  14. Worry

  15. Blame

  16. Discouragement

  17. Anger

  18. Revenge

  19. Hatred/Rage

  20. Jealousy

  21. Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness

  22. Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness

This scale is based on the idea that your emotions are vibrational indicators of your alignment at a given time. When you feel out of alignment with what you truly want and who you really are you will experience emotions that are lower down the scale. On the other hand, you are most in alignment with yourself and your experience of life when you are higher up the emotional scale. Ideally, you would want to spend most of your time around emotions 1 to 5 on the scale to feel at your best.

To “raise your vibration” and feel better emotionally you can move up through emotions one by one, rather than trying to leap all the way to the top at once. One at a time, difficult emotions can be worked through and processed so that naturally you can feel a higher vibrational emotion that will make you feel a little better.

For instance, let’s say you are feeling depressed. As you can see from the scale, depression and despair are among the most negative emotions. In the depths of depression it is unconceivable to aim to feel joy in one jump. If you allow yourself to feel any emotion in the higher registers, without forcing yourself to be at the top of the scale all at once, it would definitely help you move away from the depressed state. Even feeling jealousy, anger, insecurity or guilt can bring a little relief from the feeling of utter depression and powerlessness. Experiencing these emotions will help you feel that you have actually taken your power back. In a way, these emotions can provide a temporary bridge for some emotions which feel worse. Spending time working out through the different emotions that come up allows you to process them, express them, accept them and finally move passed them. Later on you will be able to experience disappointment or frustration, which are signs that you are climbing up the emotional ladder. Eventually, it will easier to naturally progress to higher vibrational feelings of enthusiasm, passion or joy.

This scale is useful to identify where your are emotionally at the moment. Right now, are you resonating at a high vibration and therefore feeling joy and empowerment, or are you a little lower down on the scale? If the latter is the case, can you become mindful of this to make incremental changes that will allow you to move up one level so you can feel a bit better? At any moment, we can look for relief by moving to a better feeling place.
